When Panache announced they would start producing bralettes, most big-busted women were at least intrigued – for a long time bralettes were conspicuously absent from the giant’s lineup and everyone got used to the fact that the situation wouldn’t change. Suddenly, however, today’s subject, Lyzy, was announced alongside Andorra; classic triangles over a wide band. Reviewing a bralette from a manufacturer that built its brand on classic wire bras always takes you by surprise, however the Andorra was such a surprise that we’re left with high hopes for the Lyzy. Onwards with the review!

Lyzy is absolutely comfortable; I can’t find a fault with how snug it feels. In my opinion, the straps could be a bit wider, but I seem to be in the minority, so I can’t really count this as a fault. The band doesn’t roll up, it doesn’t bite into the skin and I don’t feel it carrying more than the standard 80% of my bust’s weight. It peeks out temptingly from under my black boho dresses (a goth in summer is an unhappy creature), revealing just enough lacy trim.
The laced edge is stitched around with piping, which can result in even a properly sized bra biting into the breast a bit – not enough for it to become visible, but it’s still there.
Lyzy reaches fairly high into the armpit, which prevents the breasts from spilling out; personally, I don’t mind it at all, especially since it helps expose the purple lace while wearing summer tank tops and t-shirts.
As for shaping, Lyzy performs completely different from the spiky Andorra; the result is a slightly flattened peak, similar to what Clara did to my breasts. I’m more than satisfied, because I prefer such a natural, yet supported shape. My size is 30F, a classic size for Panache.
The matching panties are thongs, very similar to the classic Hanky Panky, which fit well thanks to a sensible amount of elastics. They’re very comfortable, pleasant to the touch and friendly towards larger bottoms.
As a bonus tip, if you have an Ardour in black or blueberry purple, you can try to mix and match to save some money 😉
In summary, Lyzy is an option which will work well during a summer vacation, when all you want to do is allow your breasts to breathe (especially if, like me, you suffer during hot days because of your andular glands) and have a break from laminated fabrics and fortified, stiff bras. Lyzy has already appeared in black, berry violet and cobalt (and next year in a berry/moss combination) and I can predict further colour and size development, since every big-breasted woman deserves such support!
