The bra is pretty and sexy on its own. Pamela has a great colour which is called mocca, according to the catalougue; I would compare it to the Nesquick cocoa. The embroidery looks a bit like a henna or mehendi tattoo on a lighter complexion and the shapes of it look like hollyhock flowers. There is a little shiny pendant on the gore and it really tops the design well, altough maybe a fabric flower or a rosette would look better? Colour allows it to be a nude bra for girls of darker skin, and on Snow Whites like me it is a really seductive bra due to high contrast between the skin color and the embroidery. In my humble opinion it would look much less interesting if the bra was just black.
I chose size 65G and the gore tends to lie on the side on my right breast, but in 65H the shape was way worse so I stuck to the 65G. The gore doesn’t bother me though, since it doesn’t dig in or hurt me. If you are between sizes I’d suggest going up a band – I am 73 cms underbust and the 65 band strateches to its maximum. It is subjectively the tightest Gorteks bra I ever tried on and I will wear it with an additional row of hooks until it stretches a bit. The edge of the band cuts in every once in a while but that can be solved with and extender. The straps are wide and pull the cups apart from the body which makes the cups wrinkle a bit – the width / depth ratio is not perfect for me, but within tolerable limits. The side support wires are harmless.
Gorteks is a brand that features two different fastenings, one of which is smooth. Sounds good, but the underneath of it is made form a sleek and stretchy fabric which makes hooking the bra up kind of infuriating; everytime you want to grasp the fastening it escapes your fingers, leaving a bit of stretched fabric in them. I asked the company about it and it is supposed to be an answer for numerous complaing about regular fastenings being scratchy. Such a smooth fastening won’t hurt, that is for sure, but I tried on Gorteks bras with regular ones and there was zero difference in comfort for me. To be honest no bra has ever hurt me in this area. The fastening in Pamela is comfy, doesn’t curl up or scratch,
I need to say I start to consider Gorteks as the Polish Fauve: same depth / width ratio issues, but also beautiful designs and compositions. Gorteks offers sultry numbers, nude bras, regular yet not boring ones, couture designs and retro elegance, all within the reach of average Polish budget. Doesn’t Pamela look a bit like a better Chloe, after all ? 😉 It took only a one horizontal seam to make a shape nightmare fit much better. Gorteks also has a big advantage over Fauve: the bands won’t stretch out within a week, which is a recurring issue in triple F group: Freya – Fantasie – Fauve. We have something to be proud of: Poles have Polish bras 😉
