Syrokan High Impact Underwire Level 4 – 70F ; Cheap Yet Good

syrokan by la isla
Syrokan is the daugther brand of La Isla – conglomerate that sells dead stocks and II category products of various brands, such as Panache, Sculptresse, Shock Absorber, Wonderbra and other I haven’t identified yet. Brands with estabilished reputation won’t allow bras with little fuck ups to be sold in any of the official retailer shops, therefore those sad little bras with defects are left with the wholesaler who in turn discreetely sells the stock to other interested parties. I am not 100% sure about that, but I am certain it is a very popular practice in other branches of the market, such as home electronics or non-underwear apparel. I had the pleasure of trying a soft sports bra from La Isla, but it didn’t meet my expectations unfortunately; the bounce was still there and the band rode up, altough the crazy fuchsia had me head over heels with love with it on the spot.

Level 4 High-Impact Wireless Racer-back Sports Bra La Isla, which i tried in the same size as my Syrokan.
Dauntlessly, I decided to try other products of La Isla, which split into few different subbrands meanwhile, namely Syrokan (sports bras), Delimira (everyday bras), Gratlin (nursing apparel) and Dobreva (strapless, multiway and soft bras). Syrokan by La Isla is one of the few brands that sells their bras both in the official store and on Aliexpress (like Wink Gal, for example) which is a proof that not all of Aliexpress lingerie is shit 🙂 How does my Syrokan do? Let’s find out:

My first thought after I managed to fish the bra out of the envelope was pure delight – those school uniform colours! Classic, elegant, nobody will be ashamed to excersize sans a tank top. Short inspection proves there are no big defects; the loose threads have been trimmed, seams are perfect, yet I look further to find a reason, why this particular sample was sold at the La Isla shop instead of Panache Sport’s official retailer. And here it is – the J-hook has been sewn in bakwards, making it impossible to hook the straps together. Well, I don’t do that either way, so I don’t really care about that mishap, altough it miaght be an issue to somebody else.
The wires of the bra are encapsulated in jelly-like silicone (or at least that is what it feels like). Everytime I touch this kind of wiring I wonder why wouldn’t Panache sew such wires in their regular bras, I would buy them much more gladly, since Panache bras wires are the Brutus to my Caesar. The gore is covered in breathing mesh which is a great thing for those sweatier gals like me.

The cups are somewhat too big, but not big enough for me to suggest going down a cup. It is a very comfortable cut of the cup, nothing rubs or digs in. The cups feel a little loose, which I don’t like very much, but given that I have high-risk boobs that shouldn’t be compressed too much I can’t really complain – the bra is completely functional either way.
The band is very tight. 32 band fits me very rarely and most of the time I need to hook it on the second row of hooks from the start, and with Syrokan I need to really focus and wriggle around to hook the band up on the first row. Great, especially since I can’t find a Syrokan bra in 30FF which is my proper size in most brands. There is laundry instruction on the back of the fastening (which I will dismiss completely, of course), sizing info and the fabric composition percentage.

The fastening is a 3-hook per row type of stituation and suffers intensive exploitation with dignity. Very comfy – nothing hurts me at all and the slicky back of the fastening isn’t slicky enough to cause troube with hooking up the bra. Three hooks give enough support without that dreaded binder effect.

All spots where the bra could be vulnerable and tear or break upon more aggressive movement of the hand have been reinforced with serger, which further ensures us that the bra will survive both a zumba lesson on a kick boxing match. I run and work out on the elliptical in Syrokan and my boob are supported well – band doesn’t ride up, bust doesn’t jiggle or bounce, the wires stay in place.
The price of my sample is $18.89 – a very good price for that quality. You need to remember though, that La Isla is a brand that sellf bra with defects, which means that purchase is a lottery. The seller accepts returns, so if the time is not an issue you may just order same model over and over until you get a bra with a mishap you can live with 😉 Seriously though, I’d suggest trying this option. Panache Sport bras are kind of pricey for a student (a Polish student, at least, altough they work great as wedding gifts as my experience shows), and the La Isla is both an ethical and good alternative. Syrokan is absolutely an A+ bra in all categories: comfy, pretty, can be laundered like it’s no big deal, shapes my boobs well. Both on Aliexpress and in the official store we can find a lot of different models and colours, from classic black to melon green, so every fit girl will find something to suit her tastes. The sports bras from Aliexpress are usually microfribre bralettes with accompanying photoshoot of a sweaty Asian girl, so this review is a breath of a fresh air for me. You might want to check out all the offers in the La Isla shop, since there are a few good ‘dupes’ of products that might be out of our budget in the normal circumstances. Y’all know that I am very much against buying fakes and replicas (you really want to support ISIS and systhematical rape of the factory workers?) so I am happy to find an ethical and morally okay way to spend a little less cash on a product that is worth the price and shows off not the fake brand tag or logo, but quality.
